All the art on this site is made by me with no AI influence. Every image & video here is human-made, & I do my best, when working with found imagery, to make sure I'm not pulling in AI-generated images either. I don't support AI-created art.

That said, I have used AI as a tool to build up this website.

// How I Used AI

The foundation of this site is a basic framework I created myself. I then consulted a locally run AI model to help optimize that framework & to build out the bells & whistles on top of it. Many of the CSS animations & javascript you'll find here were developed that way.

// What Matters To Me

I'm an artist first & foremost. I don't use AI in my workflow for creating art. That would take the fun away. It's my passion & my joy.

I have some limitations when it comes to coding. I made the deliberate choice to use AI as a tool to help in that area.

I wanted to reduce the environmental footprint of the AI I use. So I run it locally. The model is downloaded & runs on my own computer, which means no data centers are involved in the coding for this site on my end. Just a girl & her computer. I do not use AI heavily, so I am confident that my energy usage for AI is barely existant.

Now the model itself was almost certainly trained utilizing data centers, & that process had real impacts I did not factor in at the start. Local use is a harm-reduction step, not a clean bill of health in that regard. Also, my thoughts are evolving on this topic everyday. I may change my mind in the future... or not, who knows.

I want to be transparent. Using AI & hiding that fact feels, to me, like lying. So whenever I use it, I disclose it, including here. I did use AI to help write out my thoughts on this page in a coherant way. I had originally drafted my descriptions on other pages this way too, but decided writing them myself was more impactful. I do not want AI thinking for me.
